A Look Back 15 Years Ago: Kristen Barr from Wausau Newman Catholic
Above left: 2002. Above right: 2003. Kristen Barr won the D3 100m and 200m dash events at the State Meet in 2002, 2003, and her senior year in 2004. In 2003 she won the Silver Medal in the Long Jump and was the anchor on the fourth place 4x100m relay team. At the 2004 State Meet she set a record in the 200m dash with a time of 25.14. That record held up until 2015 when Columbus Catholic sprinter Alexandra Hutchison posted a 24.91. Also in 2004 Barr was on the Silver Medal winning 4x100m relay team. Barr will be inducted into the WISTCA Hall Of Fame on February 3, 2018.
