300m LH athletes Hannah Cassel [Above left in the 2013 300m LH finals] from Shell Lake and Hayley Hazlett [Hidden above center in the 2013 300m LH finals and above right on the podium for 1st place in the HJ] from Wild Rose both recorded times of 46.83. Coming out of the final turn Cassel and Hazlett were in 5th and 6th place. However with less than 100 meters to go both athletes staged a furious rally which led to a 'photo-finish'. Hazlett's time of 46.825 won her the Gold Medal . Cassel won the Silver Medal with a time of 46.827. Holly Denfield [above center] from Edgar who had the best time in the prelims finished 4th in the finals. Denfield was the 2013 100m HH Champion and in 2010 and 2012 was a member of two record setting Edgar relays [4x2 and 4x4]. |
