81st Annual Midwest XC Meet  |

Official Dick Lambrecht starts the girls varsity race. Forty-one teams ran in the Girls Varsity race which included 274 varsity runners. The Cardinals from Sun Prairie won the girls varsity part of the meet with 73 points followed by Hinsdale Central [IL], Madison West, Arrowhead, Middleton, Homestead and host Coach Jessica Lawton's Janesville Craig Cougars. Lawton [Jessica Berlowski] won the Midwest Invitational in 1992 while running for Janesville Craig. |

| A cold clear morning turned into a perfect day for runners. After a long bus ride runners walked the course in preparation for the days race. | ||
