Sussex Hamilton grad Kellyn Johnson has continued running after her high school career ended. She recently posted one of the Top USA times in the marathon when she won Grandma's Marathon on June 16, 2018, in Duluth, Minnesota. Her time of 2:24.28 is one of the top times for a USA female this year. The course was run along the northwest shore of Lake Superior.
Kellyn [Johnson] Taylor now trains in the Northern Arizona area and is studying to be a firefighter. Kellyn competed for Witchita State after high school. She narrowly missed out on an Olympic berth [2016] in the 10,000m run.
