Southeastern Conference Championship

Athletes Compete Against The Weather

Weather postponed the SEC Conference Track and Field Meet scheduled for Tuesday, May 15th to Wednesday, May 16. However rapidly changing weather patterns that included periods of open sky, heavy rains, and high winds with thunderstorm activities caused cancellation of the SEC Meet soon after the girls 1600m event was completed. Wisconsin athletes, meet directors, workers, and fans were challenged by the poor weather conditions during a week in which most conferences have their meets. The SEC Meet was held at Burlington High School which features an outstanding athletic complex.
