Week 5 Meet and School Records for April 13 - April 18

Milwaukee Bradley Tech traveled to Chicago on Saturday, April 18 to compete in the Windy City Relays. The Tech 4x2 not only won that event but set a meet record when the team posted a 1:41.13 clocking. Team members were [above L-R]: Jasmyn Hudgins, Symona Gregory, Dezerea Bryant, and Tahje Whittley [top right]. The Somerset 4x1 and 4x2 relay teams sprinted to the head of the class in the week 5 D2-D3 HR listings. In addition the Spartans moved to the top 5 positions in the overall HR lists. At the Osceola Invite held Tuesday, April 14, the Somerset 4x1 relay team posted a 50.3 [HHT] while the 4x2 recorded a 1:47.5 [HHT]. Both times were school records. Members of the 4x1 team above were L-R: Lauren Westerdahl (11), Natasha Kandakova (11), Alicia Potting (11), and Gina Hanzlik (12). Note:Three days after the Osceola Invite the Spartan 4x1 and 4x2 teams broke their newly set records by posting a 50.48 and 1:47.59 at the Hudson True Team Meet on Friday, April 17.

Mississippi Valley Conference - Coulee Conference Invite At Holmen


The HR thanks Chris McDonnell from Holmen for providing meet records for the MVC-Coulee meet.

MVC schools La Crosse Aquinas, Central and Logan, Holmen, Onalaska, Sparta, and Tomah along with Coulee schools Arcadia, Black River Falls, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, Onalaska Luther, Viroqua, West Salem, and Westby competed at Holmen. Numerous records were broken. The record breaking performance is followed by the old record in brackets.

  • Triple jump: Emily Haines a junior from Tomah - 36' 00.50 [Erika Suchla -Arcadia 2008, 35' 01.50]

On Tuesday, April 14, Elizabeth Axell a Wrightstown sophomore tied the school high jump record with a jump of 5' 03 in the Wrightstown Triangular Meet with Valders and St. Marys Central.

Ladysmith senior Nicole Flackey [L] continued to improve her throwing numbers. She set a school record in the discus at Ladysmith's Mike Breed Invitational on Friday, April 17. Her throw of 119' 11 set a new Ladysmith school record.
