Milwaukee North Senior Tasha Allen finished ahead of a talented field of 400m runners by posting an HR season best time of 55.85 in the 400m dash event at the annual Dick Myrhum Invitaitonal held at Hartland Arrowhead High School.


Samara White a junior at Milwaukee Vincent was second in 58.97 while Middleton's Kayla Beckwith who is also a junior was third in 58.99.


Milwaukee North was a D2 school for the 2008 seaosn but this year is designated a D1 school. Last season Allen set records in D2 in the 100m and 200m dash events at the WIAA State Meet.


Tasha Allen set a Myrhum record in the 400m. The old record was set by Micky Logan of Kettle Moraine in 1984. Logan's time was 58.3.

In the 300m LH race Nygren was first in 47.57 while McCauley was second and Hewitt third.




Start of Heat 2 of the 1600m race. Eighteen girls teams competed at the Myrhum Invite. Host Arrowhead won the meet with 114.50 points while Middleton [97.50], Milwaukee Vincent [85], Madison La Follette [54] and Wauwatosa West [47] placed 2-5.

Above center: University Lake School's Molly Seidel held off several challenges during the 1600m event. Morgan Sickles [blue uniform] a junior from Waukesha Catholic Memorial was second [5:17.87].



Seidel is pictured on the left in the last 50 meters of the 1600m race. Later in the meet Seidel ran a 2:23.88 in the 800m to place third behind 800m winner Andie Zeman [Arrowhead] and second place 800m runner Emily Bacchuber from Shorewood.



Molly Seidel finished first in the D3 WIAA 2008 Cross Country Championships held at the Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapds, November 1, 2008. University Lake School is located in the Hartland area and has an enrollment of 84 students.

Big '8' rival head girl coaches John Neumann from Madison La Follette and Tara Franklin from Middleton are pictured as they traveled to the throwing event areas on the campus at Arrowhead High School.




Clockwise from above left: Discus winner Breanna Strupp [121' 04] a senior from Slinger. Second place in the discus event went to Sam Steinbring [119' 07] who is also a senior from Slinger. Tiffany Wade a senior from Madison La Follette was third while her sister Tamara Wade was seventh.


Strupp and Steinbring are two of the Slinger throwers who have shown up as a relay team from Slinger on the HR 'Odd Relays' lists. The Slinger trio of throwers is #1 in the shot and #5 on the discus relay team list for week 8.

Arrowhead won the 4x2 in 1:46.75 beating Sussex Hamilton by .12 seconds. Relay members L-R: Liz Duchow, Heather Bong, Ali Slater and Mariah Berendes. Heather Bong won the 200m in 24.93. This broke the meet record of 25.0 set by Jackie Fritz from Mukwonago in 1989.
