Milwaukee Northside Indoor Meet

Milwaukee Custer, King, Madison, Marshall, North, Vincent, and Washington competed in the Northside Meet held in the field house at Vincent high school.

Milwaukee North senior track athlete Tasha Allen [left] hit the trifecta in the dash events this week. At the John Bowen meet on Tuesday held at Milwaukee South High School Allen won and set season Honor Roll leading marks in the 55m [7.14], the 200m [25.54] and the 400m [58.74]. Allen set the 100m [11.99] and 200m [24.79] records at the 2008 State Meet in D2. However this year Milwaukee North is a D1 school.

The number two spot in the 400m on the Week 2 Honor Roll belongs to Milwaukee Vincent junior Samara White [below left]. She ran to a 1:00.84 clocking in the John Bowen meet. Samara's mother and father are track coaches at Vincent.

Milwaukee Vincent senior Ashanti Benson [below right] served notice that there might be a new D1 HJ champion this season by leaping 5' 06 at the John Bowen Meet.

Junior Ciara Jarrett [left and above] from Milwaukee Marshall won the 400m event at the Northside meet. Jarret made a mark for herself last season and continued her improvement with hard work during the summer. Ciara is pictured below with her father Tony Jarrett.

The Rufus King 4x8 relay is pictured above. Twins Madelynn Green [ above left] and Leila Green [above 2nd from left] led off for the Generals' with Julie Nieva [above 2nd from right] the third runner. Anchor was Caroline Froh [above right].

The 1600m winner at the Northside Meet was Milwaukee Vincent's Iesha Eaton [below left]. Cadera Jackson [below middle, Custer] and Kianna Jacobs [below right, Vincent] are pictured in the 400m dash event.
