An outstanding class of D3 athletes graduated in 2012. However two individuals who won five Gold Medals return for 2013 to defend the titles they won in 2012.

Edgar runner Elizabeth Pospyhalla returns for her senior season having won three Gold Medals which helped Edgar win its third consecutive D3 State Championship. Pospyhalla won her third straight 800m run championship in 2012. She also added the 400m dash to her list of accomplishments and anchored the Edgar 4x4 to a D3 State Record in the prelims and then helped the Wildcats win the 4x4 in the finals.

Algoma's Kennedy Blahnik a junior holds both D3 State Records in the throws, She repeated as champion in the SP and discus events in 2012 setting a new D3 SP record in the process.
