Watertown Indoor Invite 2013

Mike Dolan [above right] was the 'MC' for the Signing Ceremony which was attended by the students and staff of University Lake School.

Parents and the student athlete both sign the National Letter of Intent. Isabel's father Fritz signs while her mother Anne looks on.

Isabel will trade the 'Tall Pines' cheer [above left] with the roar of the 'Cats' from the Wildcats of Northwestern.

Isabel shared her cake with those at the signing. Watching are L-R: Mike Dolan, head boys and girls cross country coach, head boys and girls track and field coach Brian Borkorski, her father Fritz and mother Anne.

Isabel's essay that she submitted when seeking admittance to Norhwestern's Medill School of Journalism was very favorably received. She has been admitted to that school/curriculum at Northwestern.

Seidel who won the 2013 Midwest Cross Country individual championship [above left] was hit by a serious illness at the 2013 D3 State Meet. That illness required 4 days of hospitalization. Since then she has slowly recovered and ran a very competitive 1600m race with fellow Northwestern cross country recruit Sara Coffey [above, Whitefish Bay] on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Seidel [above right] won that race in 5:17.26.
