The State Record in the Triple Jump [39' 04.75] was set by Lee Ann Majerle of DC Everest in 1987. At the Myrhum Invite held at Arrowhead High Schol on Friday, May 2, Greenfield senior Julie Hebert [above] jumped 39' 03.75 in the TJ to increase her HR lead in that event. As a sophomore Hebert participated in the 200m dash, 4x4 and the TJ at the 2006 State Meet. She placed third in the D1 TJ with a distance of 36' 11.75. At the 2007 State Meet Hebert qualified for the 200m dash, LJ and the TJ. She won the Gold Medal in the TJ with a jump of 38' 00.25. Left: As of May 7th Onalaska junior Jami Hill has reached the 'Triple Crown' of the middle distance running events. Hill is the HR leader in the 400m dash, 800m and 1600m running events. On Tuesday night, May 6, at the Onalaska Triangular, Hill set a school record in the 400m dash with a time of 56.64 [HHT]. Despite a serious illness that set in during last years 2007 State Meet Hill has made a strong comeback and finished the 2007 Cross Country season with impressive times and continued working hard to complete her comeback. Track fans at the 2008 W/TFA Championships were treated to a classic race between Hill, Ashley Beutler of Sugar River, Katie Cumming of Hudson, and Kiah Ehrke of Stoughton. Junior Eva Greenwalt of Verona had an impressive night in the jumps on Tuesday, May 6 at the Verona Triple Dual meet with McFarland and Stoughton. Greenwalt jumped to the top of the HR HJ event with a height of 5' 08.00. She also finished first in the meet LJ event by jumping 17' 03.50. At the 2007 State Meet Greenwalt finished in 7th place in the HJ [5' 02]. She also qualified for the LJ at the 2007 State Meet. Greenwalt is pictured above at the 2007 State Meet.




Last year as a ninth grader Seymour thrower Jessica Maroszek finished 7th in the D1 SP event with a put of 40' 01.25. This season she has been in the top five in the SP on the HR list. Thursday night, May 1, at the Seymour Invitational, Maroszek unelashed a throw of 44' 03.50 to move to the top of the SP list. Maraszek is pictured at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Meet in March of 2007.

As a sophomore Melissa Flucke finished third [11' 00] in the D1 pole vault event and made the finals of the HJ competition at the 2007 State Meet. This season she is on the HR in the PV and HJ [5' 04]. At the Jaguar Invitational held at Ashwaubenon on May 1, she took the HR PV lead with a vault of 11' 07. Flucke is pictured above in PV competition at the W/TFA 2008 meet. At the Jaguar Meet Ashwaubenon had an outstanding night in the PV event as Brianna Braten cleared 10' 03 and Andrea Fresen vaulted 10' 00. In a relay meet the combined Ashwaubenon PV total of 31' 03 would top the existing 2008 'Odd Relays' mark of 27' 06.
