Katie Langmeier at La Crosse, Friday, May 30, 2008,

The Honor Roll once listened to a Division 1 athlete who was a starter on the Marquette University basketball team relate that his one big regret as a high school student in Wisconsin was that he specialized in basketball and gave up other sports that he excelled in.

Katie Langmeier will look back on her high school experience without that regret. Volleyball, basketball, and track and field are sports in which Langmeier has helped contribute to the success of the D3 Cubans. Besides volleyball in the fall season Langmeier played on the Cubans State Tournament basketball team 1 | 2.

On April 7, 2009 in a home meet against Black Hawk and Benton Langmeier set the school record in the high jump with a height of 5' 09. On April 30 in the Cuba City Invitational she set a meet record with a jump of 5' 08.

Langmeier is pictured on the left at the W/TFA Meet held April 11 at the DLK Kachel Center at UW-Whitewater. She won that event with a performance of 5' 05. At the 2008 State Meet she finished 2nd in the D2 HJ event behind the winning height of 5' 05 by graduated Eau Claire Regis athlete Tessa Warner.

Langmeier excels on the track in the 300m LH event. On the Week 7 HR list for the 300m LH she is #4 on the D1-D3 list and #2 on the D2-D3 list. Langmeier also contributes to the team component of track and field. At the 2008 State Meet Katelyn Kieler [junior], Maggie Timmerman [sophomore], Emily Kaiser [junior], and Langmeier were on the Cubans 4x4 relay team which finished 4th in D3.
