Tremper Dual Breaks Long Time Records At Kenosha County Meet

|
Junior Sarah Ball from Kenosha Tremper set records in the 400m dash and 800m run at the Kenosha County Meet held at Carthage College on Monday, May 11. Her time of 59.60 seconds in the 400m broke the 1980 record of Cathy Johnson [Kenosha Bradford] while Ball's 2:17.87 broke the old 800m mark of 2:19.4 set by Sue Gentes [Kenosha Bradford] in 1986.

Teresa Rock And Emily Schuster Set Records At 'Doc' Schultz

Wausau Newman Catholic's Teresa Rock who is a sophomore tied the 100m HH record at the Dr. H. A. Schultz Invitational at Edgar on Monday, May 11. Newman won the 12 team meet by outpointing host Edgar 231 to 177.
Rock was timed in 16.27 seconds. This tied the old record of 16.27 set by Edgar's Caley Thurs in 2004.
Rock is pictured [R] at the WIAA State Meet in which she placed 5th in the D3 100m HH event.
Junior Emily Schuster set a school record in the triple jump with her 34' 08.25 jump at the Edgar Meet.
The old record was 34'5 set in 2007 by Newman Catholic's Stacy Holmberg.

Host Team Sets Records At 'Doc' Schultz Invitational
|
|
|
Edgar set records in team and individual events at the Dr. H.A. Schulz Invitational track and field meet which it hosted on Monday, May 11.
- Tessa Thurs a ninth grader set a record in the 300m LH. Her time of 47.28 broke the old record set in 1995 by Katie Sipiroski from Abbotsford.
- Faryn Wirkus another Edgar ninth grader broke teammate Hannah Pospyhalla's PV record of 9' 06 set in 2008 by vaulting 10' 00.
- The Edgar 4x4 relay team broke Wausau Newman Catholics 1995 record of 4:14.4 [HHT] by racing to a 4:12.3 [HHT].

Habit Forming: Jecel Gerner Sets SP Record [AGAIN!]

|
Senior Jecel Gerner from Markesan has formed a habit of breaking her own school record in the SP. She set the old record of 43' 06 during the 2008 season, then broke it at the Princeton Invite this season with a throw of 44' 03.50.
Tuesday night, May 12, at the Markesan Triple Dual she had a great throw of 46' 01 to set a new Markesan school record. Two nights later on May 14th at the Poynette Invitational Gerner did it again! She set school reocrds in the discus [141' 02] breaking her old mark of 138' 09 set in 2008 and also broke her two day old shot put school record with a throw of 46' 05.50. |

Caroline Grassl Sets School Record In 200m Dash
|

|
|
Waunakee sophomore Caroline Grassl set a 'PR' and a school record in the 200m dash on Tuesday, May 12 at the Baraboo Vs. Waunakee dual meet. The old Waunakee 200m dash record was 25.88 which she set last year at the D1 Sectional final. Her new school record time is 25.62 [HHT]. In Week 8 Grassl set a Meet and school Record at Kettle Moraine in the 400m dash.

Kayla Simon Sets Eau Claire Regis School Record in TJ

Senior Kayla Simon from Eau Claire Regis broke her own school record [set at the Gale Ettrick Trempeleau Quadrangular on April 23] 34' 03.00 by jumping 34' 09.00 at the Eau Claire City Meet held at Eau Claire North on Tuesday, May 12.

Raider Duo Set Records At Fredrickson Invitational

|
Senior Erika Suchla [left] from Arcadia set a meet record in the TJ at the Fredrickson Invitational held at Arcadia High School on Tuesday, May 12. She jumped 37' 00.00 to set the record. Suchla had a busy night as she was a member of Arcadia's winning 4x2 [1:48.70] and 4x4 [4:07.10] relays. She also placed second in the LJ with a distance of 16' 08.
At the Coulee conference meet held at Viroqua on Saturday, May 16, Suchla broke the TJ record set by Maya Vazquez [36' 01.750, 2007] by jumping 36' 05.00.
Maya Vazquez [right] who is a junior at Arcadia set two records. Her 25.50 in the 200m was a Meet Record while her 18' 10.00 performance in the LJ was a school and meet record. Vazquez also won the 100m dash in 12.80.

Alayna Suchla a sophomore at Arcadia was second in the TJ, and ran in the 400m dash as well as competing in the HJ and LJ events.
Isaac Vazquez an Arcadia senior also had a busy night placing 2nd in the 200m dash, winning the 400m dash in 51.80, and winning the two horizontal jump events [LJ in 22' 07.00 and TJ in 44' 04.00]

Cardinals Set Records In 4x2 And 4x4 At Tom Mueller

|
The Sun Prairie Cardinal 4x2 and 4x4 relay teams set records at Oregon's Tom Mueller Invitatiional held Friday, May 15. The 4x2 team raced to a 1:45.84 clocking to set a meet record while the 4x4 team set a school and meet record with a time of 4:03.84. Both times moved the Cardinals to the top 5 in the Week 9 Honor Roll List.

Nowak And Trojans Set Records At Rock Valley Conference Meet

Tia Nowak a junior at East Troy High School was in on two Rock Valley Conference Meet Records on Saturday, May 16. Her time of 58.21 set a new record breaking the record that Lisa Kincaid of Palymyra Eagle set in 1994 [59.93].
Nowak was a member of the East Troy 4x4 which broke the record set by Clinton [4:11.86] in 1989. The Trojan team consisting of Meaghan Valentine, Brooksie Loth, Katie Isleb, and anchor Tia Nowak posted a 4:09.55 to set a new record.
The East Troy 4x8 also set a conference record when it recorded a time of 10:14.61 to break the 1994 record set by Beloit Turner [10:1`7.08]. Relay teammembers were Meghan Valentine, Katie Isleb, Gina Alagna, and anchor Alyssa Duncan. |
